Ingredients
Red Chilli Powder :- ½ tsp
Oil for frying
Salt to taste
Potatoes :- 8 (big)
Cumin Powder :- ½ tsp
Dry Mango Powder :- ¼ tsp
Chaat Masala :- ½ tsp
Directions
- The potatoes should be taken off, washed and cut into fine grates.
- They should be soaked in cold water for atleast an hour and the water should be changed twice.
- The potatoes should be removed and patted dried on a towel.
- The oil should be heated up in a kadhai on moderate flame.
- They should be mixed in a handful of potato matchsticks at a time and fried and stirred constantly so as to separate them.
- They should be removed till they become pale gold and then should be spread over absorbent oil so that the excess oil can be removed.
- The chaat masala, dry mango powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder and salt should be properly mixed.
- The masala mixture should be sprinkled over the still hot potatoes.
- They can be served hot or should be cooled and stored in an airtight container.
