Maharani Di Recipe: The term “Maharani Di” often denotes a dish fit for royalty, indicating a preparation that embodies rich flavors and ingredients reminiscent of royal cuisine.


  • Rajma :- ¼ cup

  • Whole Urad Dal :- ¼ cup

  • Chana Dal :- ¼ cup

  • Onion (chopped) :- 1

  • Tomatoes (chopped) :- 2

  • Green Chillies (sliced) :- 3

  • Ginger (grated) :- ½ inches

  • Salt to taste

  • Turmeric Powder :- 1 pinch

  • Red Chilli Powder :- 1 tsp

  • Coriander Leaves

  • Handful Butter :- 1 tbsp

  • Cream :- ¼ cup

  • Cumin Seeds :- ¼ tsp

  • Mustard Seeds :- ¼ tsp


  • The chana dal, urad dal and rajma should besoaked overnight.
  • The chana dal, urad dal and rajma should be pressure cooked. After they are mashed a little, they should be kept aside.
  • Butter should be heated in a pan. Cumin seeds and mustard seeds should be added and fried till they splutter. Chillies and ginger should be added.
  • They should be fried for a few minutes and chopped tomatoes and onions should be added. They should be cooked till done.
  • Turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt should be added and stirred well.
  • The mashed dal should be added and boiled for about a few minutes.
  • Coriander leaves and cream should be added and mixed well. The dal maharani dal can now be served with chapathi.
